Lot 108: Lisa Marie Presley's Diamond Bulgari Wedding Band from Marriage to Nicolas Cage
29 October 2016
Memphis, TN, USALive Auction
No dream wedding would be complete without a wedding band such as this one, which matches the stunning engagement ring also being offered in this auction, and was gifted by Nicolas Cage to Lisa Marie Presley in love and adoration on their wedding day on August 10, 2002. The couple was married on the big island of Hawaii, a place near and dear to her father's heart. This radiant 18-karat yellow gold band has 19 round brilliant diamonds each E-color and VVS1 clarity weighting a total of 2.28 carats. This luscious Bulgari ring weights 3.7 grams and is size 6 1/4. Founded in 1884, the Italian brand Bulgari is synonymous with quality and luxury, making it a perfect match for a marriage of such celebrity magnitude, and this eternity band of stunning diamonds exemplifies that extraordinary union. The ring is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation
The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation and Graceland Auctions
The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation (EPCF), a 501(c)3 organization, was formed by Graceland/Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. in 1984 to continue Elvis’ own tradition of generosity and community service, and to honor his memory. All of the EPCF’s funds are used for charitable donations — nothing is deducted for staffing or other operating costs. The foundation has assisted numerous charities over the years and has a longstanding relationship with the College of Communications and Fine Arts at the University of Memphis where the Elvis Presley Endowed Scholarship Fund was created. Also, dear to Elvis’ heart, the foundation has supported outstanding Memphis-based charitable organizations, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Civil Rights Museum.
The foundation receives a portion of its overall income of Graceland/Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. A meaningful amount of the EPCF’s funding also comes from donations made by Elvis fan clubs and individual Elvis fans and admirers from around the world.
Graceland Auctions is eager to contribute to this legacy of giving and will now provide a forum for fans and collectors to contribute a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artifacts to the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation.
Like her father, Lisa Marie Presley believes strongly in this spirit of giving, and the foundation is close to her heart. She will launch this Graceland Auctions initiative by donating a portion of the proceeds from the four pieces of her personal jewelry to the foundation.
