Description: Der curiose und in allen nothigen Wissenschafften Nutzliche Dollmetscher Oder Allgemeines Zeitungs-Handbuch, engraved allegorical frontispiece and pictorial dedication leaf by Eichell after Herz, woodcut gothic title, and headpiece to 2nd part, complete with 30 double-page maps by Elias Bæck, including double-hemisphere world, a pair of vairant hemispheres of the Americas, the continents, European countries and islands, engraved maps with bright original hand-colouring, slight spotting and browning, mostly marginal, title inkstained and, along with frontispiece and text leaves, also with some spotting and browning, bookplate of Franz Count of Thun and Hohenstein (1847-1916) on front pastedown, contemporary full calf, worn, the spine gilt in compartments, perished at head and foot, upper joint cracked, 4to, Augsburg, 1748.
