Description: 1 May 1878 62 PAS-DE-CALAIS. PARIS. 5,25% Obligation Nom. de F1000, specimen. black, brown. #3000. Printer proof from Imp. Dupont. Originally founded 1852 and operated up to 6 mines. The last one closed in 1976, but there's still a local museum today. The mine is today perhaps best known for its mining disaster in 1866 which was the inspiration source for mining engineer Emile Zola to write his world-famous novel "Germinal". First time we can offer this type.
