The clay fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain bowl potted of shallow vessel, rounded cavetto emerged steep round sides further to flat wide opening, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. The exterior hand-painted with cobalt blue underglaze of two five-claws dragons chasing the centralized flaming pearl amongst fume clouds borne above cresting wavy water and rock mountain. Banded with a fine ring under rim. The interior decorated with leafy pomegranate abundant within medallion.
Mark under the exterior rim, of six blue script -KaiShu- characters; XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.
