Description: 2 November 1924 JERUSALEM. 1 Ordinary Share of L.Eg.1. blue, brown, black, red seal. No 888. Text in English & Hebrew, with German & French on the reverse. Striking border of Hebrew texts. Facsimile signature of Hermann Struck (1876-1944). He was a Berlin-born Jewish artist best known for his etchings. He was a fervent Jewish activist and a founder of the Mizrachi Religious Zionist movement. He immigrated to Palestine in 1922 and his home in Haifa has been transformed to a museum. He probably designed this share of the Mizrahi Bank, financial arm of the Mizrachi movement. Currently the fourth largest bank in Israel.
