Beautiful Jugendstil/Art Nouveau underprint of flowers and portraits in the border. Engraved by Charles CRABBE. The company made ladies' hats at its factory at the rue de Braque, Paris.Named after a novel by Emile Zola published in 1883. The novel is set in the world of the department store, an innovative development in the mid-19th century retail sales. Zola models his store after Le Bon Marché.
