Description: A note on the verso in modern pen identifies him as an American, William Robinson, who masqueraded as the Chinese magician Chung Lee Soo. . However I have been informed by an expert that he is not that person. Robinson never had a beard like this. So though this appears to be westerner looking like a dignified Chinese, this remains a mystery. If you have any information please let us know. Cabinet card by Pryor, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
