TERRA INCOGNITA Fall Western Cowboy, Native American, Sporting, Advertising, Decoy, Gun, Knife, & Photography Auction

Chicago, IL, USALive Auction
Description: This circa 1925 vest is one of the most elaborate this cataloger has seen. It would be difficult at best to place this in a tribal category, lets just suffice to say that it surely was Native American made. It has more than one bird flying, Bird tracks outlining the vest. It also sports a Moose in a night scene and elk running. Note he has his antlers leaning back on his back! This vest is string sewn. The rough parts you think you see in the photo (that could be pig skin) are in fact the knots that were tied after beading the front side. These knots hold the beadwork into place. This vest has about all the zoomorphics you could ask for. Including fringe it is about 21" Tall, 17.5" W. A fantastic piece,
