Description: This is a large hand hewn colonial birch wood trencher bowl from New England circa 1700s for your consideration. This antique trencher was hand hewn from a single piece of birch wood. Look closely at the patina, the grain of the wood and the slightly out of round shape that is a trademark of a hand hewn antique wooden treen trencher bowl. Notice the chopping, scarring, and wear marks on the inside of the bowl that adds character and authenticity of its use. There is a flattened surface on the bottom of the antique oblong trencher for resting on table top. The antique early trencher bowl has been cleaned and oiled with organic bee's wax. No stain has been added.
Condition Report: Excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina.
Dimensions: 24 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 5 inches high.
