Description: This is an antique mortised through and wedged paint decorated cricket bench stool from New England circa 1820s for your consideration. The paint stain on the cricket stool is the traditional New England red color. The cricket stool bench has hand turned round legs that are scribed and mortised through and wedged to the top of the stool. The hand turned legs are splayed and supported by hand turned stretchers. The top of the mortised through cricket stool is one single piece of wood.
