Description: This is an antique folk art paint decorated punched tin or sheet metal candle lantern from New England, circa 1800s for your consideration. The antique New England punched tin lantern encircled with a punched Ocean Wave design. The antique New England punched tin lantern has the original old slate black paint. The punch tin lantern has three punched holes in the witch's top for smoke release and a hole in the bottom for heat release. The witch's top on the antique candle lantern is decoratively punched. The antique punched tin candle lantern tapers finely forming a witch's hat for smoke and heat release. The antique candle lantern has a decorative punched tin door that is in great working condition with the original side latch and hinges. The antique candle lantern has beautiful punched detail and is luminous and bright when lit. The candle socket holder is original and secure. There is an original large wide tin circular hoop for hanging or carrying the lantern.
