(4), 32; 16, 42; 14 pp. W. 3 engr. plates. 4°. Hcl. (A bit foxing). Oluf Gerhard Tychsen (1734-1815) was a German Orientalist and Hebrew scholar. He is known today as one of the founding fathers of Islamic numismatics. 1: Assertio epistolaris de peregrina numorum Hasmonaeorum origine; 2: Interpretatio inscriptionis Cuficae in marmorea templi patriarchalis S. Petri cathedra Antiochae sedisse traditur.
