Description: Silver gelatine hand prints, mostly sized 11 x 15 cm, mounted on grey cardboard with contemporary inscriptions. The Kaiser and his entourage at state visits, military manoeuvres (as at Kaisermanöver on 9 September 1913), hunting occasions, inauguration ceremonies for buildings and memorials or parades in Germany (for example in Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Trier, Hanover, Breslau, Swinemünde, Ahlbeck). Kaiser Wilhelm II and Crown Prince Wilhelm shown several times in uniform, also Tsar Nicholas II, King George of England, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, King August of Saxony, Prince Regent Luitpold and King Ludwig III of Bavaria, the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, Baron von der Golz, Tirpitz, Falkenhain, Zeppelin, Count Häseler and further high ranking celebrities. Military formations: i. a. Gardes du Corps, the 2nd Guard Regiment on foot, Hussars, the Bavarian Hartschier Life Guards. Moreover navy airships and airplanes in Johannisthal. Most photos from 1913. Edge tears, small blemishes and spots on cardboard, one photo board with upper third missing. Lightly damaged, signs of age. Comes in two later, neatly worked cassettes covered with purple linen (43 x 28.5 x 7.5 cm each) with embossing "Wilhelm II" on the side. Oscar Tellgmann (1857 - 1936) specialised in military and manoeuvre photography, gained nationwide fame and as from 1909 became "Hofphotograph" (court photographer) of Kaiser Wilhelm II. A unique photographic treasure.
