PATEK PHILIPPE 18KT GOLD CHRONOGRAPH WRIST WATCH Geneva, Switzerland, Circa 1948
Case number 646707. REF. 1436. Movement number 863789. Nickel-finished twenty-five jewel movement with eight adjustments. Silvered dial with applied gold Breguet numerals. Outer five-minute divisions and tachometer scale for one mile. Two subsidiary dials for running seconds and thirty minute recording. Circular case with snap-on back engraved "LEW 12-25-48". Twin square pushers flanking the crown. Original brown leather strap. Case, dial, movement, strap, and clasp signed. Diameter 32 mm.
Overall fine condition, presently running, though not guaranteed to be running at time of auction. Dial appears to be undamaged. Very slight amount of surface scratching to underside of case and to leather band, indicative of light use and wear. Glass appears to be undamaged.

This watch is a split second chronograph, we have had this looked at via photographs by Mike Poisson of MGP Incorporated of Wayland, MA, a noted northeast watch restorer. From the photographs, he sees no issues regarding its authenticity. Watch is operative at this time, some of the button functions on the side appear to be sticky, and may not be totally working accurately. No warrantees or guarantees will be given by the Robert C. Eldred Co. as to its running condition or authencity.
