Platinum, Kashmir Sapphire and Diamond Ring
Centering one oval sapphire approximately 2.23 cts., framed and flanked by 32 old European and old-mine cut diamonds approximately 2.15 cts., circa 1915. Size 5 1/2.
With AGL report no. CS 58560 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement.
Sapphire: bright deep rich blue, good color concentration, cleanish with banding off to side, visible with loupe when looking at stone at an angle, not visible to the eye, large open culet, several minor nicks on table edge and facet junction, very lively.
Diamonds: I-J-K-VS, several SI.
Filigree work under panel.
Good condition. Normal wear to mounting. Width 9/16 inch.
