Description: PLUME AND ATWOOD CLASSICAL TORCH AND WREATH KEROSENE BANQUET LAMP, finely casted brass bodied example with metal overlay decoration, transitioning to the widely flared brass stem raised on a large metal foot with a scrolling motif. Fitted with a brass drop-in font with the flame spreader signed "CONSOLIDATED". Topped with a deep maroon ball-form shade with acid-etched floral decoration.
Dimensions: 31 3/4" HOA, 24 1/2" H to top of flame spreader, 8 1/2" SQ base. 8 1/2" H shade.
Medium: Fourth quarter 19th century.
Condition Report: Base undamaged, drop-in font with minor splits to the gallery of the burner, shade with a minor annealing check to the fitter, as made, shade with a minute radial fracture to the body of the shade, possibly as made.
