Description: 22 July 1876 69 RHONE. GIVORS. Action d'un Deux Centième. black. No 154. Fold and a little staining at the bottom, below the printed border. Formed Givors, 1834. The first and only bridge across the Rhône between Givors (Rhône) and Chasse (Isère) dates from 1837, when the suspension bridge opened (with a toll payable). The bridge is 220 metres long, and still appears as shown on the cert., except for additional buildings at each end, dating from the year 1887, when the bridge became public property, and the toll was abolished. Fine engraving of the bridge. Only piece known to us.
