Description: This is a large outstanding maple wood hand carved butter paddle from New England, circa early 1800s. The carver made this early colonial butter paddle out of one solid piece of maple wood with a thick and long grip handle. There is a hook on the end of the thick handle for gripping the side of a butter or dough bowl. The antique maple butter paddle is strong and has a nice feel and weight to the early treen.
Condition Report: Excellent condition with an age appropriate patina.
Dimensions: 11 inches long and 5 inches wide
