Description: REMBRANDT VAN RIJN
Head of a Man in a Fur Cap, crying out.

Etching, 1631. 36x30 mm; 1 3/8x1 1/4 inches, narrow margins. Biörklund's third state (of 3); Usticke's third state (e) (of 3); White and Boon's third state (of 3). A very good impression of this extremely scarce, early etching, with crisp, partially inky plate edges.

According to Usticke, "A rather rare tiny head (RR +)."

We have found approximately only 15 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years. Bartsch 327; Biörklund 30-14; Hollstein (White and Boon) 327.
