Description: REMBRANDT VAN RIJN
Man in Coat and Fur Cap Leaning against a Bank.

Etching, circa 1630. 111x77 mm; 4 3/8x3 1/8 inches, narrow to thread margins. Biörklund's third state (of 3); Usticke's third state (e) (of 3), an early impression in this state with the artist's initials upper right distinct; White and Boon's third state (of 3). A superb, dark and richly-inked impression with very strong contrasts, crisp plate edges and no sign of wear. Bartsch 151; Biörklund 30-6; Hollstein (White and Boon) 151.
