Description: REMBRANDT VAN RIJN
The Triumph of Mordecai.

Etching and aquatint on thin, cream laid paper, circa 1641. 165x205 mm; 6 1/2x8 1/4 inches. Usticke's second state (of 2), with the addition of aquatint. Trimmed on or just inside the plate mark. A good impression.

According to Biörklund, "In the 18th-century the plate was worked over with tones of aquatint." Bartsch 40; Biörklund 41-1; Hollstein (White and Boon) 40.
