The exterior shows moderate rubbing, scuffing, and toning. The text block is solid. The pages show light to moderate foxing, mostly in the margins. The work is profusely illustrated with 15 maps, 12 of which are fold-outs, one of which is the color frontispiece map. The book is protected by a clear mylar dust jacket.
