Description: Roman, North Africa, late 3rd to 4th century CE. This is a nice small plate with a small foot and a pronouced rim decorated with thin leaves and vines in low relief. Roman North Africa was one of the wealthiest provinces of the Roman Empire, and they are famous for their production of redware domestic items. Size: 7" W x 1.4" H (17.8 cm x 3.6 cm)

Provenance: Ex - Prominent LA County collector who acquired these prior to 2000
