Description: Rose O'Neill original art showing President Calvin Coolidge, and all of the things that he likes to do. From motoring, to gardening, to fishing. This is a great original ink illustration(undated). Rose O'Neill was most famous for her cute-kid cartoons which appeared in Saturday Evening Post, and came to be known as the "Kewpies,". Original Ink on art paper, showing Coolidge the full-bleed art measures 20" x 14.5" and the art is in Very Good condition.

O'Neill, Rose Cecil:O'Neill is best known for creating the image of the "Kewpie Doll," a plump, cupid-like child. Kewpie Dolls soon became popular as bisque figures and as the ubiquitous carnival prize, until the advent of Disney's Mickey Mouse in the 1930s. American illustrator, 1874-1944
