SANTA CLARA PUEBLO POTTERY JAR
By Jennie Trammel (1929-2010) . Red on white in a stylized wing design. Diameter 9.25". Jennie Trammel was the third child of noted potter Margaret Tafoya. She learned to make pottery from her mother and her grandmother, Sara Fina Tafoya. Jennie's works are featured in books and museums across the country, but because she did not produce as much as her sisters during her career, it is difficult to find her work.
Several scattered areas of crazing, unobtrusive glaze flakes & surface scuffs
The white on the underside, is the pottery without the red glaze that is on the rest of the piece.
