Mexico, Oaxaca, late 20th century CE. This is a pair of brilliantly colorful wooden animals. One is a blue and yellow snake with fangs bared; the other is a rede frog with a polka-dot design and swirling, psychadelic eyes. The frog is signed by Magaly Ramirez, from the village of Arrazola, part of a large family of artisans. Size: 6.5" L x 1.75" W (16.5 cm x 4.4 cm)
