SILVER-INLAID BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
supported on three short feet, flanked by a pair of cloud handles, the bombé body inlaid in silver with a sea turtle emerging from crashing waves, the pierced cover surmounted by a seated Buddhist lion resting its left forepaw on a brocade ball, the cover and the handles inlaid in silver with wave pattern
- Good overall appearance
- There are some chips to the surface for example on the interior just below the mouth rim and to one of the bottom edge of one of the two handles; there is also a dent to the other handle
