Wucai Porcelain. China, Qing Dynasty 19th cent. to Republic
Flat bottom, bottle-shaped body, key-shaped flared mouth. Around the conical foot are borders with ruyi and lingzhi (long-life mushroom). In main field alternating long (dragons) and feng (phoenix), one is fierce and five-clawed, the other with fluttering feathers. In between clouds and flaming elements. The handles feature amusingly composed dragon heads, rings attached, on the mouth is the retrospective Six Character Mark Da Ming Wanli nian zhi 大 明 萬 曆 年 製. Very good condition.
