Description: Artist: JEAN-DOMINIQUE VAN CAULAERT (1897-1979) Size: 47 x 62 7/8 in./119.4 x 159.6 cm M. Robineau, Paris Better known in graphic incarnations by Gesmar and Sem, Andrée Spinelly was a sharp-looking chanteuse most popular during the 1920s and 1930s. Later in life, she would be typecast in a variety of French war-era films as a femme-fatale spy.
