Memphis, TN, USALive Auction
Several iconic trademark fashions come to mind when thinking of Elvis. The three most important of which are rhinestone jumpsuits, TCB necklaces, and the "Nautic" style of sunglasses made by Neostyle. No one can wear this style of sunglasses without thinking of Elvis Presley, which is why they are so often chosen by those paying tribute to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The offered pair, adorned with the TCB logo affixed to each arm, were gifted by Elvis to J.D. Sumner. The lenses were replaced with tinted ones containing J.D.'s own prescription. The gold-tone frames are embellished with the TCB logo and a lightning bolt near each temple and marked on the inside arm "NEOSTYLE Made in Germany 140." The sunglasses measure approximately 6 inches (15.24 cm) wide, 2 inches (5.08 cm) in height and 5 1/5 inches (13.97 cm) in arm length. The sunglasses are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
Condition Report: The glasses show signs of being worn regularly, with a few scuffs and wear to the arm ends. The left lens is slightly misaligned with the frame. This could most likely be remedied by professional repair. Excellent to Mint condition.
