Description: Artist: ANONYMOUS Size: 36 1/4 x 27 3/4 in./92 x 70.5 cm Founded in Ohio in 1845, the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company started as a carriage manufacturer, but quickly branched out to include a variety of other products - most notably, billiard tables. In this incredibly detailed American lithographic masterpiece, their bowling division is celebrated as a fascinating national pastime, with three tiers of spectators gathered in Madison Square Garden to witness the company-sponsored National Bowling Association's International Tournament. This was the first year that Canadian teams were allowed in the league. (sports)
