Description: The Right Honourable John Satterfield Sandars Dispatch box, the red leather case made by Wickwar & Co 6 Poland Street, inset brass handle, gilt cipher. John Satterfield Sandars, C.V.O., D.C.L., P.C. born in 1853 was a lawyer and scholar who became a Privy Counsellor being sworn in at Buckingham Palace on the 11th Decemeber 1905, appointed Commander of the Royal Victorian Order 1st March 1906, a political secretary, most notably to Arthur J. Balfour from 1895 to 1905
