Description: This is an exquisite Spring & Autumn Period (BC 770-476) bronze artifact with nine mythical beasts. The head is made of six dragons, the neck is made of a tiger and the legs are made of tortoise.This was made by the most advanced technique called 'wax displacement method'. This kind of bronze artifact is very rare and only a few museums in the world have similar one like this. There are altogether nine mythical dragons in this piece. The numeral 'nine' represents the Emperor. Therefore, this bronze was most likely made for one of the Emperors. This artifact is considered to be the treasure of Spring & Autumn Period. Henan Province Relics Research Center in China has a pair of bronze similar to this piece.
