Description: Iron. Japan, 17th to 18th cent. (or earlier)

Quadratic form with sides curved inward, two hitsu, one closed with shakudo. The rand of the tsuba is on all four sides on the back striking – twisted as uchikaeshi mimi. Copper sekigane. Possibly from an area of the Myochin School.
