TWO CARVED WOOD FIGURES
LATE QING DYNASTY
one carved as Guandi seated with the left hand resting on the knee and the right hand holding the beard, wearing a long robe painted and gilt with a dragon and floral patterns, the other depicting a temple guardian seated on a throne above tiger skin and reading a book (2)
taller one 32cm high
- Good overall appearance with wear and minor losses to the paint and lacquer
- Some bruises to the edges of the carvings
