Description: one with a polished horn handle, the other with a scallop shaped ivory handle
Dimensions: the larger 50.5cm. high; 1ft. 7¾in, the other 37.5cm. high; 1ft. 2¾in.
Condition Report: Good examples. Each tarnished and with exposed copper to details cast in relief and edges. Neither has been tested to see if watertight. Some evidence of soldered repair to interiors although no visible tears to exterior... Because these are in an unpolished state there maybe other marks and scratches not immediately visible. The larger is crested. The lid is loose. Appears re-silvered. Abrasions to interior. Ivory tap is stained. Wear consistent with age and use. The smaller is another fine example The horn tap is detachable. The bun feet are very slightly mis-shapen but this does not detract. The lid is dented to inside rim but fits well. Wear consistent with age and use. Both are very decorative.
