More About this Item

Description: 20 December 1826 LONDON. 1 Share on vellum. black. No 467. Folds and a little, very faint, staining. Printed on vellum. 16th century plans for a university in London came to nothing, and the present university started in 1826 with a non-sectarian university college, known for some time as the University of London, of which we offer this founder share. A second institution was incorporated in 1829 and finally the two were merged and became the current University of London. This is currently the second largest university by number of full-time students in the UK. Rarity 10.
