Description: 32nd chapter Umegae (Plum Branch, 梅が枝). Hayakawa Takakage and Yadahei. Original color woodblock print from the series “Ukiyo-e Comparisons with the Cloudy Chapters of the Genji Novel“ (Genji kumo ukiyoe awase, 源氏雲浮世画合), published around 1845/46. Signed: Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga. Seal: Kiri. Publisher: Iseya Ichibei. Censor seal: Nanushi seal Murata.
Scene from the Kabuki play “Yayoi sakura hisago no makubari“.
