Description: 18 December 1756 64 PYRENEES ATL. BAYONNE. Action de 1000 Livres. black. Just as the previous ship, the 'Bayonnais' sailed from Bayonne, the Basque port city in southwestern France. Bayonne was, together with Saint-Malo in Brittany (northwestern France), the main 'pirates’ nest'. The ship had a crew of approx. 200 men and 24cannons on board. It was captured by the English on 19/06/1758. The ship's captain was Pierre Doussy who died 4 years later.
