Description: Very scarce copy of Bernard Darwin's The Golf Courses of the British Isles with the original paper wrappers preserved in fine condition, Duckworth, 1910, first edition, first state binding, with the promotional sheet advertising the Rountree paintings for sale laid in, boards particularly clean and bright, a firm copy with some spine lean and spotting of the rough cut edge and just a few spots elsewhere, contents in nice condition, in a clean bright dust jacket which repeats the misspelling of the illustrator's name, it has light browning of the spine and just a touch of shelf wear at the corners and edges in places
