Description: Signed jewelry box, shaped as a Louis XV commode chest with 4 drawers finished with Rococo handles with raised designs. Intricate idyllic river scene on the top shows a trio of women in a boat being towed to shore. A picturesque town is detailed across the water. Either side of the box highlights a young boy, broom over his shoulder walking to work, and the opposite side a young girl, basket in hand walks towards town. Delicate flowers cover the chest, while 24K gold paint details the top edge. Signed Veuve Perrin. It measures 8" wide, 6 1/4" high, 5 1/2" deep. There has been repair to the bottom drawer. A large chip to raised leaf on one side, minor wear to raised leaves on top edge, drawer pulls and lower feet.
