Description: 15 september 1900 ANVERS. Part de Dividende. blue. #11625. No 11003. Large format, with Jugendstil/Art Nouveau border of flowers and tools, and vignette of shipbuilding. Company formed in 1900, for shipbuilding and ship-repairing. There was an important German influence. Among initial shareholders were the Bremer VulkanSchiffsbau und Maschinenfabrik, of Vegesack, Bremen, from where it probably got its name. Other German shareholders were G.H. Plate, of Bremen, president of Nord Deutscher Lloyd, B. Loose, banker of Bremen, F.T.L. Achelis, F.E. Schütte and F.A. Ebbeke,Bremen businessmen. Also participating were the Banque d'Outre-Mer, of Brussels (MM Balser & Havenith), and the Cie Anversoise d'Entreprises Coloniales et Industrielles (MM de Bary & Michelis).
