Condition / Notes: This is the second expanded edition of this work. The antique volume is bound in the publisher's cloth covers with stamped gilt lettering on the spine. There is light external rubbing and toning. The front hinge is cracked. An armorial bookplate is affixed to the front pastedown. The pages show light age toning and occasional spotting/foxing, mostly in the margins. The work is profusely illustrated with 55 folding maps and plates, plus two folding tables. There are some tears and separations to the foldouts.
