The harpsichord was made around 1975 by William de Blaise in elegant Walnut veneer. The concave curved body with hinged lid rests on three conical legs. The claviature of the two manuals consists of black and white plastic. The harpsichord is equipped with a foldable music stand, a coupler and four pedals. William de Blaise was influenced by the German school in design and construction. He had settled in the early 1950s in England and started in those years making harpsichords.

The surface harpsichord has some scratches and bump-marks. On the metal fittings partial rust spots can be found. One long side shows strong warping of veneer and slight veneer losses on the lid. A company logo can be found above the claviature and on the inside of the case. It measures 98 x 205 x 107 cm (height x width x depth). (bed)
