IMAGE SIZE 18" X 27" SOME CRAQUELURE TO PAINT AND TINY SPOTS OF PAINT LOSS. ARTIST WAS KNOWN FOR WRITING AND ILLUSTRATING MARINE HISTORY FOR MAGAZINES. ALSO ARTWORK APPEARED IN EDITIONS OF JULES VERNE "TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA" AND JACK LONDON "THE SEA-WOLF"
