Description: WWII American Soldier's Memorabilia-Nazi Officer's Belt Buckle, Coin Purse, Sewing Kit, & Collection of Medals - These items have been in our client's family for over 70 years. They were brought back from the war by our seller's great-grandfather when he returned from serving in WWII. The lot consists of a soldier's sewing kit, leather coin purse, a belt buckle that our seller tells us was taken from a captured German military police officer by his great-grandfather, and a collection of Medals. The belt buckle is made of alluminum, and has a pebbled surface, aside from the raised swastika that has a smooth finish. The buckle has the phrase "Gott mit uns" (God with us) at the top, and a half wreath of oak leaves at the bottom. The buckle measures 2.5" x 2", and still has part of the leather belt attached to it. The sewing kit belonged to our seller's great-grandfather, and has all of the complete contents. It is rare to find kits in this condition that still contain all of their contents. The kit is in a green leather case, and is in excellent condition. The coin purse is made of a black, pebbled leather with steel hardware. The collection of medals we are told are a mixture of medals that were awarded to our seller's great-grandfather, as well as some that he collected from his fallen comrades. The medals are in excellent condition, and all come with matching ribbon bars. They are displayed together in a lovely display that is ready to hang or sit on a shelf. These items are truly a remarkable piece of history, and a great addition to any beginning or advanced collection.
