Description: Chinese Yixing twin teapot from the late 19th century. This reddish-brown teapot features a carved leaf, stem, and peach finial on the lid, and a carved band around the midsection with a carved bow and knot as though a ribbon were holding two hexagonal boxes together. The handle section of the teapot is raised on a foot, which makes it higher than its twin. The lid is attached to the handle with twine. The interior of the lid is stamped with a character mark. Dimensions are 8 1/2 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches high. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The interior rim of the lid is chipped. Otherwise it is in good condition.
