Description: Item # 5207. An English Girondole Convex Mirror circa 1835-40. Size: 47” tall and 30” wide. Condition: When gold gilt surfaces years ago became dirty, the simple solution was to just paint the gilt with gold paint and that is what happened to this mirror. The glass mirror may or may not be original but is in good condition. There are minor losses to the surface and the tail of one of the dragon/snakes is missing. This is a large mirror for this style. Brought back from London by a collector years ago.

Condition Report: Surface painted with gold paint, loss to one of the dragons, flake and scuffs consistent with use and age.

Dimensions: 47" tall - 30" wide

Medium: Wood, Glass

Date: 1835-40
