Description: Faience, made by Creil. This collection includes: one lidded sauce boat (10" long x 6" tall including lid), six plates (8.5" diameter), four lidded pot de cremes (3.5" tall with lid), and a canted-corner serving dish (9.5" square). Pieces have both impressed and underglaze printed marks in sepia. The plates feature drawings of French and English palaces, while the serving dish depicts the proclaiming of Louis the Fifth as King of France in 986 A.D.
Condition Report: Very good condition - some wear commensurate with age - repair to finial and an underside chip on sauce boat lid - minor stains, 2 chips (on one only) and one repaired handle on pot de cremes.
