Description: English Salt-glaze 18th-century Stoneware Heart Sweetmeat or Pickle Dish, This large six-sectioned salt-glazed stoneware heart dish is a rare survivor of this form. The circular sweetmeat dish is moulded into six identical heart-shaped sections with a large flower head to the centre. Each section is centered with a fleur-de-lis design and multiple scallop-shell designs to the center and each corner with the edges with scrolling vines.
